About Civil Resilience
A free reference to civil resilience in the United Kingdom.
Civil Resilience is a free reference to being ready for disruption in the United Kingdom, run by HCEO LTD. It explains what the government asks households to have at home, what each hazard does, who does what in an emergency, where every local resilience forum is, how a community organises itself, how an organisation stays open, and the law behind all of it.
Every page shows when it was last updated and, where a person has checked it against the source, when it was reviewed and which official pages were read. Where the site summarises an Act, a regulation or a government page, it links to the official text, and that text is the authority, not this site.
The site has no official standing and is not a responder under the Civil Contingencies Act 2004. In an emergency call 999. The who to call page lists the numbers that matter.
Who runs it
HCEO LTD, company number 13112735, registered at Seven Grange Lane, Pitsford, Northampton. The site is edited by hand by Morgan Sheldon, a former Hampshire Constabulary investigator and a qualified risk manager, who also edits the company’s two other reference sites, Policing.uk and Enforcement.uk.
Contact
The site does not give advice. The contact page lists who can help, and how to report an error on a page.
