Dorset Local Resilience Forum

The Dorset Local Resilience Forum covers Dorset. The gov.uk list places it in the South West and gives no further detail of the area; forum areas follow police areas.

The forum's secretariat sits with the Civil Contingencies Unit at Dorchester Fire Station in Poundbury, Dorchester. The gov.uk entry does not name the organisation that runs the unit.

The forum publishes a community risk register on its website, dorsetprepared.org.uk, under the heading types of risk. A community risk register is the forum's published list of the risks it has identified for its area, the risks its emergency plans are written against.

The same website is where residents find local advice on preparing for emergencies in Dorset. Local resilience forums are explained on the who does what page.
